Establishing the Isostructural Platform GaPd ₂ ‐InPd ₂ ‐SnPd ₂ to Address Electronic and/or Structural Effects

Abstract The isostructural series (Ga,In)Pd 2 and (In,Sn)Pd have been established characterised. Together with the recently discovered (Ga,Sn)Pd , they form a triangle along edges of which electronic, structural combination thereof on chemical physical properties can be explored, e. g. in heterogeneous catalysis. Single‐phase ternary samples Ga 1‐ x In Pd Sn are synthesised =0.1 substitution steps. Metallography powder X‐ray diffraction utilised to establish phase composition determine how lattice parameters vary composition. both isotructural series, total volume unit cell increases linearly degree . thus constitutes an excellent material platform for decoupling electronic effects, namely catalysis, where effects usually obscures their individual influence due coexistence multimetallic catalytic materials.
